HOOVER, Ala. (AP) — BT Riopelle hit two home runs, including a grand slam, to lead top-seeded Florida to a 6-3 win over fourth-seeded Vanderbilt in the SEC Tournament. Riopelle, who had a game-winning three-run home run in Wednesday’s win over Alabama, had a solo shot before his 13th home run of the year made it 6-2. Florida advances to a semifinal on Saturday, facing the winner of the Alabama-Vanderbilt loser-out game, which is Friday. Davis Diaz drove in two runs on a groundout in the top of the first and a single in the fifth that tied the game at 2 for Vanderbilt.
HOOVER, Ala. (AP) — Jace Bohrofen had a two-run single, Hunter Hollan pitched 5 1/3 innings of solid relief, and Arkansas made a five-run fourth inning stand up for a 5-4 victory over LSU in the SEC Tournament. Bohrofen’s bases-loaded single drove in two and capped the Razorbacks’ big inning after RBI-singles by Caleb Cali and Peyton Holt. Hollan entered with the bases loaded and two out in the top of the fourth with LSU leading 1-0. He allowed a run to score on a wild pitch before getting out of the inning with a strikeout. The Tigers scored a single run in the eighth and got a one-out solo home run from Dylan Crews in the ninth.
HOOVER, Ala. (AP) — Tommy Seidl and Caden Rose each had three hits, Garrett McMillan struck out eight in a six-inning start and Alabama beat Auburn 7-4 in the SEC Tournament. Ninth-seeded Alabama (40-18) advances to the fourth round of the tournament for the third straight season. Auburn (34-21-1), the No. 5 seed, has been eliminated. Alabama collected 14 hits — from eight different players — and went 4 for 9 with runners in scoring position. Seidl opened the scoring with a one-out homer in the first inning and he added an RBI single in a three-run fourth. The Tigers had the potential tying run at the plate in the ninth before Cooper McMurray popped up to left.
HOOVER, Ala. (AP) — Trevor Werner went 3 for 4 with an RBI triple, freshman Justin Lamkin struck out nine in a seven-inning start and Texas A&M beat South Carolina 5-0 in the SEC Tournament. Texas A&M (34-24), the No. 10 seed, advances to the semifinals on Friday. South Carolina (39-19) has been eliminated. Lamkin (3-3), Chris Cortez and Matt Dillard combined for a one-hit shutout. South Carolina second baseman Will Tippett led off the fifth inning with a single before Lamkin retired the next three batters. Texas A&M walked three straight batters in the eighth before Dillard entered to end the threat with a strikeout of Gavin Casas. Lamkin tied his season high with nine strikeouts in his longest outing of the season.

Sandercock allowed one run in 5 2/3 innings as No. 3 seed Florida State defeated No. 14 seed Georgia 8-1 in Game 1 of the best-of-three Tallahassee Super Regional. Lexi Kilfoyl threw a complete game as No. 6 seed Oklahoma State defeated unseeded Oregon 8-1 on Thursday night in the first game of the Stillwater Super Regional. Florida State and Oklahoma State need one more win to advance.
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — Kaley Mudge went 3 for 3 with three RBIs and a double, Kathryn Sandercock allowed only one run in 5 2/3 innings and No. 3 seed Florida State beat 14th-seeded Georgia 8-1 in the opening game of the Tallahassee Super Regional. Florida State (54-9) and Georgia (42-14) play Game 2 in the best-of-three series on Friday. Georgia’s Dallis Goodnight led off the first inning with a bunt single to deny Sandercock a second straight perfect game and then Sydney Kuma homered in the second for the Bulldogs’ run. Florida State chased Georgia starter Madison Kerpics in the third inning after RBI doubles from Mudge and Kalei Harding, and a run-scoring single by Michaela Edenfield. Autumn Belviy also scored on a fielder’s choice in the inning to make it 4-1.
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Former UCF quarterback McKenzie Milton has been hired by Tennessee to be an offensive analyst. Milton was a two-time American Athletic Conference player of the year at Central Florida, leading the Knights to consecutive unbeaten regular seasons in 2017 and ’18. He suffered a gruesome leg injury in 2018, but returned to play another season of college football for Florida State two years later. At UCF in 2018, he played for current Tennessee coach Josh Heupel.
