Julie Smith scored four goals and had an assist to lead Shady Spring past Wyoming East.

Teammates Jessie Chapman and Whitley Hayhurst added a goal apiece.

Both Wyoming East goals came off of penalty kicks.

The Tigers host Midland Trail at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Greenbrier East 2, Princeton 1

FAIRLEA — Courtney Cole scored two goals and Mary Deem had an assist for the Spartans.

East keeper Kate Bowling had 6 saves.

Alex Smith scored Princeton’s goal.

Greenbrier East 4, Princeton 1

FAIRLEA— Jake Glasser scored two goals and Logan Hollar and Berkley Miller scored one apiece in the win over the Tigers.

Logan had two assists and Miller and Lucas Lemine had one each for the Spartans.

Princeton Javon Carpenter scored the lone goal for the Tigers.

Greenbrier East keeper Andrew Schreifer and Princeton’s Lucas Nito had seven saves apiece.

The 6-5-1 Spartans host Buckhannon-Upshur Saturday at noon.

Middle School Soccer

Beckley-Stratton 28, Shady Spring 0

Josh Williams keyed the victory with touchdown runs of two, four and 10 yards.

Williams gained 107 yards on the evening. D.J. Robertson also scored on an 11-yard run.

Late Wednesday

Athens 5, Bluefield 1

Cory Quick scored two goals and Casey Weatherly, Will Webster and Austin Doss had one apiece for Athens.

Joe Webb and Casey Weatherly each had an assist, while keeper Amanda Presley had one save.

Jordan Hammond scored Bluefield's goal.

Athens (2-3) hosts Princeton Middle School Monday at Pikeview High School.
