A coal miner has died after sustaining an injury at a Kanawha County mine, Gov. Jim Justice said Monday.
Taylor Meldin Halstead, a 20-year-old resident of the Boone County community Bob White, was fatally injured late Monday morning at Panther Mining LLC’s American Eagle Mine in Dawes, according to a release from the governor's office.
The governor's release did not include details of the incident or injury.
