Herman Rodriguez of Sinks Grove was sworn in by Judge Robert Irons Monday as the newest deputy of the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department.
Sheriff Sean Crosier said he is proud to announce this newest addition to the department for several reasons. Rodriguez brings vast experiences and abilities to the table, seeing as he is bi-lingual, worked at Anthony Correctional Center as a correctional officer and is also a former United States Marine.
Rodriguez will be attending the West Virginia State Police Academy for 16 weeks beginning in June for rigorous law enforcement training.
Crosier said the department is excited to have Rodriguez as part of the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputy Rodriguez is the son of Rigoberto and Milagro Rodriguez, also of Sinks Grove.
