Trina Tellez-Mullins, 36, of Oak Hill, was sentenced Friday to nearly six years in prison for possession with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine. Read more

Jerry Stewart, 31, and Elijio Perez, 30, inmates at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) at Beckley, both admitted to possessing a handcrafted weapon, commonly known as a “shank,” according to a press release from United States Attorney Mike Stuart’s office. Read more
Devon Lamar Lockridge, 34, of Detroit, Mich., was sentenced to five years in prison for possessing with the intent to distribute more than 50 grams of methamphetamine, charged as a result of a traffic stop in Beckley. Read more

The latest pandemic relief package would gradually raise the federal minimum wage to $15 per hour by June 2025 and then adjust it to increase at the same rate as median hourly wages. However, that provision is not expected to survive in the final bill.
