An 11-year-old girl was one of two people killed in Wednesday’s collision between a pick-up truck and a coal truck in Wyoming County, police said.
Heather Sizemore of Bud was flown to Charleston Area Medical Center following the 1:41 p.m. accident on W.Va. 54 at Maben, according to sheriff’s Chief Deputy Randall Aliff. She died shortly after arriving at the hospital, he said.
Jeremy Biggs, 25, of Mullens, was dead at the scene, Aliff said.
The 2005 Chevrolet truck driven by Biggs veered left of center and hit a coal truck driven by Roger Elkins of Oak Hill.
Sizemore was a passenger in the pick-up. Elkins was not injured.
