Police are searching for two men believed to be responsible for two robberies that took place in Oak Hill last week.

The first robbery occurred at Subway on Jones Avenue on Dec. 15.

The next took place around 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Movie Man on West Main Street. According to police, both men entered the store and immediately rushed the cashier and demanded money. One subject obtained the key to the register and the men escaped with an undisclosed amount of money.

Although the men never brandished a weapon, the cashier said she felt one of the men had a weapon underneath his jacket, authorities said.

The suspects are described to be white males between 5-foot-10 and 6-feet tall, weighing between 180 and 200 pounds.  Both subjects were wearing masks and gloves. One man wore a black sports jersey with the number 28 and the other suspect wore a green hooded pullover with writing on the front.

A picture of the subjects was obtained by video surveillance of a nearby business. Although the picture is blurry, it has been sent to digital forensics to enhance the video quality.

Detective M. J. Jarvis of the Oak Hill Police Department is investigating the incident. Police ask anyone with any information regarding this incident to please report it to Crime Stoppers at 304-255-STOP (7867). All tips remain anonymous and any tips that lead to an arrest will receive a cash reward.
