In addition to monetary donations, used toys in good condition are needed for distribution at the Dec. 16 party at the Raleigh County Armory. Invitations will be mailed by the Department of Health and Human Resources. Toys may be taken during business hours to BJW Printing on Robert C. Byrd Drive across from Little Caesar’s pizza.
Boy Scout troops 103, 3 and 295 are accepting donations of used bikes behind Beckley Fire Department Station No. 3 on Eisenhower Drive and behind the Raleigh County Armory. They will make any needed repairs and the bicycles will be given to needy children at the Dec. 16 party.

Students from Shady Spring High School’s National Honor Society are in the midst of their annual Mac’s coat drive.
Drop-off boxes are located at Ghent Elementary School, Shady Spring Elementary School, CVS on Ritter Drive in Beaver, CVS on Harper Road, CVS on Robert C. Byrd Drive, Kroger on Ritter Drive in Beaver, Food Lion, Wayne’s Family Foods in Daniels, Beckley Newspapers and Big Lots.
Coats of all sizes in good, clean condition are needed. The deadline for donating is Dec. 13.
