A 19-year-old wanted in connection to a shooting Friday afternoon in Lewisburg turned himself in to Lewisburg authorities Saturday afternoon.
According to Lewisburg Police Chief Chris Teubert, Edward Alexander Smith-Allen turned himself in and has been charged with wanton endangerment with a firearm.
At approximately 6:43 p.m. Friday, officers were dispatched to Dorie Miller Park in Lewisburg to reports of someone being shot.
When officers arrived, they found a female juvenile in a vehicle who had been shot and took her to Greenbrier Valley Medical Center. From there, she was transported to a Charleston-area medical facility.
Although police did not release the victim's name, they did release that the family wanted to inform the public that the victim was still on life support and that they were asking for prayers.
Smith-Allen was released on a $5,000 bond.
The case is still under investigation.
