An agreement to end the teacher-school service personnel walkout was announced early this evening at the Capitol.
Gov. Jim Justice said teachers and service personnel will get a 5 percent raise the first year and other state employees a 3 percent raise the first year.
West Virginia Education Association President Dale Lee said at a press conference that teachers will return to the classroom Thursday. He added that they are taking the deal in good faith but reserve the right if things get bogged down for people to be called back out again.
