The Raleigh Center, a nursing facility affiliated with Genesis HealthCare, recently announced it was recognized by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL).

The center received a bronze “Commitment to Quality Award” for improving the lives of residents through quality care, the release said.

The distinction is the first of three progressive award levels through the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program. The program honors association members across the country that have demonstrated their dedication to improving quality of care for seniors and persons with disabilities.

“We are proud of Raleigh Center for being honored for their commitment to improving quality,” said George V. Hager Jr., chief executive officer of Genesis HealthCare. “Raleigh Center joins more than 200 Genesis centers is reaching this great achievement. Working together to reach this milestone has made our team even better. We will not stop improving.”

Alana Wolfe, AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Board of Overseers chair, said she applauds Raleigh Center for taking an important step toward quality improvement.

“I encourage the Center to continue on its path to achieving the highest of quality care,” Wolfe added.

The awards will be presented in October during AHCA/NCAL’s 70th Convention & Expo in Orlando, Fla.

Raleigh Center is at 1631 Ritter Drive in Daniels.
