A Mullens woman was sentenced to 12 months in Southern Regional Jail as a result of her plea to possession of a controlled substance, according to Wyoming County Prosecutor Rick Staton.

Mandy L. Mills, 24, entered a guilty plea in magistrate court to possession of Xanax. A condition of her 12-month sentence is that Mills attend and complete a drug rehab program, Staton said.
