The following criminal cases have been resolved in Wyoming County Circuit Court, according to Prosecutor G. Todd Houck:
Delbert Shawn Lester, of McGraws, was convicted of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and was sentenced by Judge John Hrko to confinement in the state Division of Corrections for a period of not less than one nor more than three years.
Joseph Caleb Sizemore, of Pineville, was convicted of grand larceny and petit larceny and sentenced to Southern Regional Jail for one year followed by six months home confinement.
Jason Christopher Foley, of Stephenson, was convicted of second offense petit larceny and was sentenced to the state Division of Corrections for one year.
Elestine Workman, of Cyclone, was convicted of contributing child neglect and sentenced to Southern Regional Jail for one year. The sentence was suspended and Workman was placed on probation for one year and required to participate in the county Day Report program.
Steven Lusk, of Cyclone, was convicted of contributing to child neglect and sentenced to Southern Regional Jail for one year. The sentence was suspended and Lusk was placed on probation for one year and required to participate in the county Day Report program.
Matt Harrison Mitchell III, of Lynco, was convicted of unlawful wounding and sentenced to the state Division of Corrections for not less than one year nor more than five years. He was further ordered to pay a fine of $500 and assessed court costs.
Kegan Correll, of New Richmond, was found in violation of probation rules and regulations; his original sentence of 12 months in Southern Regional Jail was imposed and he was remanded to jail.

Just as the new Pineville Elementary School project is about to be bid, Wyoming County Schools has been awarded another $6.4 million, by the West Virginia School Building Authority, to construct a new Huff Consolidated Elementary and Middle School.

Mistrial declared in DUI causing death case
The trial of Deon Nicole Toler, of Pineville, ended in a mistrial Friday afternoon in Wyoming County Circuit Court.
Officials cited “legal issues” which arose during jury deliberations as the reason. The trial began Monday. -
Human remains found in Matheny area
Law enforcement officers found human remains in the Matheny area Monday night, according to Wyoming County Sheriff Randall Aliff.
Authorities also recovered some personal items, but nothing that provides a positive identification, Aliff said. -
Victim of Wyoming MVA identified
Authorities have identified the victim of a Wednesday afternoon car accident near Oceana. Sandra Stewart, 56, of Matheny, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Wyoming County Sheriff Randall Aliff.
