Oak Hill body identified

The Oak Hill Police Department has released the name of a man found dead around 8 a.m. Saturday.

Oak Hill Police Chief Michael Whisman Jr. said the body of James Franklin Griffey, 56, of Oak Hill, was found in an old car lot across from Foodland.

Whisman said an autopsy conducted by the State Medical Examiner could not determine a definite cause of death; however, foul play is still not suspected.

It was determined that alcohol was a factor in his death, he said.
