HUNTINGTON —
The United Steelworkers are reviewing a tentative agreement between the union and Special Metals.
Media outlets report union members were reviewing a contract proposal submitted by the company Friday. Union members are working under the extension of a contract that expired at midnight Friday.
The union represents about 400 workers at the Huntington alloy plant.
Union representative Denny Longwell told WCHS-TV that most workers were happy with the proposal, but others wish it was better.
Workers and union representatives have said health insurance premiums are an issue.
