Tucker County man charged in death of his former wife

PARSONS (AP) — A Tucker County man has been charged with first-degree murder after human remains found on his property were positively identified as those of his ex-wife.

Forty-two-year-old Parsons resident Wesley Scott Cale is due back in court on the charge Dec. 14. He’s accused of killing 35-year-old Bonnie Woods-Cale.

Woods-Cale had been missing since 2002 and investigators say Wesley Cale later was granted a divorce. Court records say remains found Nov. 11 under a shed on Cale’s property were identified as those of Woods-Cale last week.

Wesley Cale is being held at Tygart Valley Regional Jail. It is unclear whether he has a lawyer, and a working telephone number for his residence could not be located.
