The state Supreme Court says a retired judge is being appointed temporarily to the Kanawha County Circuit Court.
The Supreme Court says former Putnam County Circuit Judge James Holliday will fill the spot being vacated by Judge Irene Berger until a permanent replacement is named. Chief Justice Brent Benjamin is expected to name Holliday to the post Thursday.
