West Virginians are now able to let their voices be heard online about cases pending before the Public Service Commission of West Virginia. The commission is now accepting public comments on its website in order to make citizen participation in ongoing cases easier.
Residents, using a valid e-mail address, are now able to submit an electronic letter of support or protest regarding a formal case pending before the commission. General comments will also be accepted.
Ratepayers will be able to continue to file a request for utility assistance electronically, in non-emergency situations.
The commission hopes the new online feature will improve customer service and provide West Virginians an easier way to submit input on pending cases and the state’s utility regulatory process. The commission will review all submitted comments and will continue accepting written comments on formal cases.
To submit a public comment, or to find more information about cases pending the commission’s approval, visit http:// www.psc.state.wv.us/.
