The camp for people ages 14 to 18 is set for June 10 to 15 at Camp Caesar near Cowen in Webster County. Registration fees are $185, although most first-time attendees receive a scholarship.
The Department of Environmental Protection and other state agencies are sponsoring the camp, which focuses on West Virginia’s natural resources and environmental stewardship.
Subject areas include fish, game and nongame wildlife management, parks and recreation, forestry, soil conservation, water resources, natural resource and environmental law enforcement, and youth environmental initiatives.
More than 16,000 young people have attended the camp since it started in 1941.
