JANE LEW —
Consol Energy Inc. plans to keep 193 employees of Dominion Resources Inc. for at least a year after it completes the acquisition of Dominion’s exploration and production business.
Consol spokesman Joe Cerenzia says the company also will keep its office in Jane Lew open.
The Dominion workers are in Jane Lew, Beckley and Indiana, Pa.
Consol announced Monday that it agreed to buy Dominion’s Appalachian exploration and production business for $3.475 billion. The deal will give the coal and natural gas company a leading position in the Marcellus Shale.
