BNI Memorial Tournament set for Aug. 7-9
The 2010 BNI Memorial Tournament, the 30th edition of the annual amateur golf event, is scheduled for Aug. 7-9.
The tournament will again be played at Pipestem Resort State Park, Grandview Country Club and The Resort at Glade Springs (Cobb Course).
For the second straight year, the event is a West Virginia Golf Association player of the year points tournament.

Valley 65, Cross Lanes Christian 61
CROSS LANES — Dillon Ganoe scored 24 points and Gordy Mitchell 13 for Valley.
The Greyhounds were playing without leading scorers Cameron Cochran and Andre Wright. Both were serving one-game suspensions, as was Petey Foster.
Cross Lanes got 18 points from Micah Monk and 10 each from Casey Duff and Blake Moore.

Nicholas County 60, Bluefield 57
SUMMERSVILLE— Nicholas County scored 26 points in the 4th quarter to gain the win over Bluefield.
Freshman Shaealyn Shafear had a big double-double with 18 points and 27 rebounds, grabbing 15 rebounds in the 4th quarter alone. Madison Martin added 14 points.
Shay Gravely scored 20 points to lead Bluefield, while Ebony Allison had 14 points. Shelia Hopkins contributed with 13 points.
