CHARLESTON — Taylor Norman fired four touchdown passes to lift George Washington to a convincing 49-10 win over Princeton at Laidley Field Friday night.
On the Patriots’ second possession, Norman hooked up with Quinton Johnson for a 53-yard scoring bomb. Later in the opening period he found Johnson again with a 42-yard touchdown pass.
After Princeton’s Garrison Shay drilled a 28-yard field goal for the Tigers’ first points, the Patriots’ responded with back-to-back scores. Felix Mollett tacked on a 10-yard touchdown run and Norman connected with Roland Willis on a 19-yard scoring toss.
The Patriots took a 27-3 lead to the locker room and never looked back.
Norman completed 8-of-13 for 227 yards for George Washington (6-1), including his first four scores for 147 yards and three scores. Felix Mollett led the Patriots with 88 yards on the ground.
Johnson finished with three receptions for 137 yards.
Playing without injured running back Tevin Allen, then losing Jarrell Powell to injury in the third quarter, Princeton wasn’t able to muster much offense against to top-notch Patriots.
