(Continued)

First-year coach Michele McGinnis looks forward to the future of her program.

“We are headed in a positive direction,” she said. “We only lose one senior and have four returning starters.”

Woodrow’s next step toward a sectional title comes Wednesday against Greenbrier East. Tip-off from Oak Hill will be 8 p.m.

The Eagles beat Greenbrier East 52-48 Jan. 23 in Beckley.

“We’re excited about it and East is excited about it,” Bostick said.
