FRIDAY'S RESULTS

Greenbrier West 35, Summers County 6

CHARMCO — Senior tailback Brian Gray ran for 166 yards and five touchdowns as the Cavaliers rolled to the win.

Gray scored on 30 and 11-yard runs from scrimmage along with three one-yard dives.

Cavaliers quarterback Chase Fitzwater ran for 78 yards and passed for another 32.

Seth Bower scored for Summers County on a 30-yard run in the first quarter. He finished with 73 yards in the game while quarterback Tim Wynes ran for 45 and passed for 30.

West (4-1), which gained 348 total yards, travels to Pocahontas County next Friday.

DUNMORE — Dexter Skidmore rang up 201 yards and five touchdowns as the Class A No. 6 Warriors remained undefeated.

Skidmore raced to the end zone on runs of 2, 16, 45, 9 and 46 yards.

Derek Kiner added two touchdowns, a 75-yard kickoff return and a 16-yard aerial from backup quarterback Casey Withers.

Starting quarterback Mike Callison ran for 65 yards, passed for 80 and kicked six PATs.

Josh Valentine passed for 173 yards and two scores for Wirt (3-3).

Pocahontas County (6-0) will put its perfect record on the line next Friday when it hosts Class AA No. 13 Greenbrier West.

Valley 38, Meadow Bridge 32 (2 OT)

MEADOW BRIDGE — Jack Sims picked off a Meadow Bridge pass and Marcus White followed with a five-yard touchdown run to give the Greyhounds the victory in double-overtime.

Sims, who also quarterbacks Valley, passed for 211 yards and three scores. White ran for 101 yards and Nick Acord caught two TD passes.

Eric Halstead ran for 63 yards and two scores for Meadow Bridge. Tyler Bennett gained 68 yards and had one touchdown before leaving the game with an injury. Quarterback Alex Redden passed for 48 yards and a score.

Meadow Bridge (3-3) plays at Montcalm Friday. Valley (2-4) hosts Mount Hope the same night.

UPPER GLADE — Cody Taylor and Seth Hamrick ran for two touchdowns apiece to lift Class AA No. 12 Webster County.

Taylor ran 17 times for 90 yards and scores of 5 and 7 yards. Hamrick found the end zone from 7 and 10 yards out and finished with 25 yards on eight carries.

Highlanders quarterback Grant Perrine passed for 86 yards, including a 72-yard strike to Tim Miller.

Coby Treadway passed for 169 yards and one TD for Sherman (1-4).

The Highlanders, who held the Tide to just eight yards rushing, play at Oak Hill next Friday.
