WVU men’s basketball tickets go on sale today

From wire reports

MORGANTOWN — Season tickets for West Virginia’s 2007-08 men’s basketball season will go on sale today at the Mountaineer Ticket Office. Single game non-conference tickets will also go on sale today.

West Virginia will play 15 regular season games at the WVU Coliseum under Bob Huggins, who is entering his first season as head coach of the Mountaineers.

The Mountaineers will open the season at home against Arkansas-Monticello on Friday, Nov. 16, in the first round of the Legends Classic. Big East schools visiting Morgantown will be Georgetown, Pitt, Marquette, Syracuse, St. John’s, Cincinnati, Rutgers, Seton Hall and Providence. In addition to Arkansas-Monticello, Prairie View A&M, Maryland Eastern Shore, Winthrop, UMBC and Duquesne will visit the Coliseum in non-league action.

The price of an upper level season ticket is $300. Lower level seats are only available to renewing season ticket holders. Faculty/staff can purchase up to six season tickets at the discounted price of $240 each. Individual tickets for non-conference games are priced at $20 each.

Mountaineer Athletic Club members and past season ticket holders must order their tickets by Oct. 31 to reserve priority seating. Order forms were mailed to MAC members and past season ticket holders last Friday.

To order 2007-08 season tickets, call 1-800-WVU GAME, visit WVUGame.com or visit the Mountaineer Ticket Office in the WVU Coliseum. Big East single-game tickets will go on sale Tuesday, Nov. 13.
