GIRLS PREP BASKETBALL
Westside 51, Wyoming East 45
CLEAR FORK — Ashley Stepp drilled five 3-point goals and scored 20 points to lift the Class AA No. 10 Renegades past their Wyoming County rivals.
Selina Simmons paced Wyoming East with 13 points.
Westside (7-1) plays at Independence today. Wyoming East hosts Bluefield Thursday.

Greenbrier East 71, Riverside 41
FAIRLEA — Kelli Morgan scored 21 points and had 18 rebounds, seven steals and four assists as the Spartans roared to the win.
Katie Keaton added 13 points while Christine McClung had 12 points and 10 rebounds. M.K. Curry added five assists and Jessie Ford had seven rebounds.
Kassie Cook scored 17 points and had 15 rebounds for Riverside (1-6).
Greenbrier East (5-2) plays Wednesday at Ripley.

Princeton 89, Cabell Midland 39
ONA — Brittany Lankford posted a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds in the rout for Princeton.
Both Laura Whitt and Tesla Akers had 22 points and eight assists. Amanda Smith added 13 points, eight rebounds and five steals.
Emily Harbour led the Knights with 15 points and A.C. Cunningham had 13.
The Tigers (3-1) visit Nitro on Wednesday.

Greenbrier West 49, Midland Trail 40
CHARMCO — West used a balanced scoring attack to turn back the Patriots.
Kayla Tygrett paced the Cavaliers with 13 points, followed by Kaysha Burkholder with 11 and Jessi Hamrick with 10.
Trail got 13 points from Jessie Vest and 11 from Allison Syner.
West (3-4) plays at Oak Hill and Trail travels to Clay County, both Wednesday night.

Shady Spring 73, Oak Hill 40
OAK HILL — Derrian Lane scored 20 points and Emily Daniel 19 as Shady Spring (4-5) rolled.
Kristen White topped Oak Hill with 20.
The Red Devils (2-5) host Greenbrier West on Wednesday.

Meadow Bridge 46, Liberty 35
Kelly Forren scored 11 points to pace Meadow Bridge.
Karah Daniel had 11 and Marissa Long 10 for the Raiders (0-6), who host Greenbrier West on Thursday.
The Wildcats (4-5) host Richwood at 3 p.m. Saturday.

Pocahontas County 87,
Highland County (Va.) 25
DUNMORE — Chelsey Gum scored 19 points and Shelby Snead 18 for Pocahontas County.
Adrienne Nottingham added 14. Kristy Madron grabbed 9 rebounds, while Madeline Jerome had 10 assists and nine steals.
Emily O’Reilly led Highland with seven points.
The Warriors (7-4) play at Tygarts Valley on Wednesday.

Valley 48, Mount Hope 47
MOUNT HOPE — The Greyhounds rallied from seven points down to take the win.
Bobbi Dyer led the way with 20 points, followed by Carly Abbott with 16.
Mount Hope got 23 points and 16 rebounds from Cindy Hillberry, 14 points from Talisa Smith and seven steals from Lakesha Lee.
The Mustangs host Sherman tonight. Valley plays Wednesday at Fayetteville.

BOYS PREP BASKETBALL
Mount Hope 74, Indepenence 71
Da’Von Marion scored a season-high 41 points to lead Mount Hope past host Independence.
Kyle James added 20 for the Mustangs (5-2), who host Montcalm at 5:30 p.m. today.
Anthony Stump led Indy (3-3) with 25 points and 10 rebounds. Colton Ratcliff had 22 points and 11 boards.
The Patriots visit Liberty Friday.

Valley 57, Hannan 38
HANNAN — Sophomore Cameron Cochran erupted for 27 points to lead the Greyhounds to victory in Mason County.
D.J. Block led Hannan (2-4) with 13 points.
Valley (2-1) hosts Mount Hope Wednesday.

Mountain State Academy 97,
Pathway Christian (Va.) 64
Five players scored in double figures for Mountain State Academy, led by Noah Cottrill’s 19.
Shaquille Thomas and Justin Drummond had 14 each, Deniz Kilicli 12 and Vander Joaquim 10.
MSA (10-3) hosts Mount Zion on Saturday, Jan. 17.
