A Beckley man was arrested Sunday for allegedly firing several shots inside his home on Third Avenue, Beckley Police reported Monday.

Fayetteville Police arrested a local man Friday in connection with breaking and enterings at two businesses.
Beckley man sentenced for stabbing
A 30-year-old Beckley man was sentenced Friday to one to 10 years in a correctional facility for a stabbing incident in September 2012.
Randy Omar Jennings was initially charged with attempted first-degree murder, but Raleigh County Chief Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Tom Truman said he pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of unlawful wounding.
Altercation involves gunfire
An altercation in Mullens Tuesday morning resulted in gunfire, according to Police Chief Ray Toler. About 7:30 a.m., two men and a female got into an altercation, Toler said. One of the men reportedly fired a gun to ward off the man who was beating him, according to the chief.

Woman charged with robbing Dollar General
After crashing her car and getting help from a stranger, a Fayette County woman is in jail, charged with robbing the Dollar General on Jones Avenue in Oak Hill, police officials said.
