A second defendant involved in the robbery of an 86-year-old woman in June was sentenced in Raleigh County Circuit Court by Judge H.L. Kirkpatrick Tuesday.
Kevin Wayne Saunders, 25, of Mabscott, pleaded guilty to first degree robbery and grand larceny.
He was sentenced to serve 10 years on the robbery charge and one to 10 years for grand larceny. The sentences will run concurrently.
Kirkpatrick also ordered Saunders to pay $458 in restitution to the victim, for which he is jointly liable with his co-defendant, Christian Hines.
Hines was recently sentenced to serve 20 years for his crimes. By pleading guilty, Hines admitted a probation violation for former larceny and forgery charges in Kanawha County, which left him with two consecutive one to 10 year sentences and one concurrent one to 10 year sentence.
Saunders was transported to Southern Regional Jail to await transportation to the designated Division of Corrections facility.
