Michigan man arrested on federal charges

A Michigan man was arrested Thursday night on federal charges after a routine traffic stop, according to Lewisburg Police Department.  

Dwayne Anthony Smiley, 48, of Detroit, was wanted in Maryland by the FBI for three armed bank robberies.

Smiley was transported to Southern Regional Jail and will be arraigned before a federal magistrate.

Lewisburg Patrolman E.D. Shaver was the arresting officer. He was assisted by Patrolman J.D. Hughes.
