Webster County man killed in motorcycle crash

CRAIGSVILLE — A Webster County man died after crashing his motorcycle in Nicholas County Thursday.

Troy Kenneth Short, 58, of Camden-on-Gauley, was riding his 1975 Harley-Davidson on Tioga Road in Craigsville when he crashed around 7:37 p.m.

Short was transported to Summersville Regional Medical Center and then to Charleston Area Medical Center, where he died due to injuries sustained in the accident, according to officials of the Nicholas Sheriff’s Department.

Officers said they determined that Short was not wearing his helmet when he crashed.    

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
