Raleigh women get probation, service for drug charges

Both plead guilty

— Two Raleigh County women were sentenced in federal court Wednesday for drug charges.

Leah Kirk, 21, of Beaver, will serve three years of probation and perform 100 hours of community service for distributing oxycodone.

She pleaded guilty to distributing several oxycodone pills and alprazolam pills between May 15, 2013, and June 12, 2013, on Eisenhower Drive to a confidential informant with the Beckley Police Department and Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office.

Crystal Gail Graham, 38, of Beckley, will also serve three years probation and perform 100 hours of community service for an unrelated drug charge.

She pleaded guilty in November 2013 to obtaining oxycodone by misrepresentation, fraud, forgery, deception and subterfuge.

Graham was a licensed practical nurse at Jackie Withrow Hospital in Beckley, where she illegally obtained oxycodone that she later sold to a confidential informant working with the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office.

Graham’s employment at the hospital was terminated after the incident.

Both Kirk and Graham were sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Irene C. Berger.
