A Mount Nebo man has been charged with malicious wounding, according to the Nicholas County Sheriff’s Department.
Charles Cavendish, 72, was arrested early last Saturday after allegedly shooting his son, John Dorsey, 42, of West Hamlin, in the foot.
Dorsey was transported to Summersville Regional Medical Center while Cavendish was arrested and transported to jail on $25,000 bond, the sheriff’s office said.
No further information was available about the condition of Dorsey.
