— Beckley Police have arrested two local men for the robbery of a Beckley video lottery club on South Eisenhower Drive.

Police have also identified a third suspect — an unidentified female.

According to reports by Beckley Police detectives M.G. Bragg and Sgt. Dave Allard, John Nathan Collins, 34, of Beckley, allegedly entered Miss Alice’s Two around 10 p.m. Sunday to “scout” the private club for a robbery.

After Collins  had exited the club, police said that David Lee Adkins, 32, also of Beckley, entered and brandished a gun, demanding cash.

A female suspect was also involved in the robbery, according to the report. The trio fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.

An officer with Parole Services identified Collins from the video, Bragg said.

Collins was on parole for an undisclosed crime at the time of the robbery, he added.

After a brief foot chase Monday, Collins was apprehended by Bragg and the U.S. Marshal’s Cuffed Task Force.

Adkins was arrested at his home Monday night.

Both suspects were charged with one count each of first-degree robbery and conspiracy to commit a felony and transported to Southern Regional Jail.

Allard said the arrests were a collaborative effort by BPD, Parole Services, the West Virginia Intelligence Fusion Center and the U.S. Marshal Cuffed Task Force.
