Four family members were arrested Wednesday after passing nearly $9,000 in fraudulent checks, according to Wyoming County sheriff’s Chief Deputy Randall Aliff.
Larry Jackson, 25, his wife April Jackson, 23, and his parents, Timothy Jackson, 47, and Brenda Jackson, 45, all of North Springs, were each charged with two counts of fraudulent schemes and one count of conspiracy to commit a felony, Aliff said.
Larry Jackson was providing family members with bogus payroll checks on a non-existent company and the worthless checks were cashed in Wyoming and McDowell counties, Aliff said.
Bond was set at $30,000 for each of the four, Aliff said.
The investigation has been ongoing for just over a month, Aliff explained.
The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by the McDowell County Sheriff’s Department and the U.S. Marshals Service.
Larry Jackson faces additional bond violation charges from the federal office, Aliff noted.
The investigation is continuing.
