A Welch man was killed Saturday in a single-vehicle accident, according to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department.
Jason Dubbs, 25, was dead at the scene, police said.
Chief Deputy Randall Aliff said Dubbs was driving northbound on W.Va. 16 about 12:30 p.m. with three other passengers in the vehicle when he got into a physical altercation with another male.
After he lost control, the vehicle veered off the road and struck a rock cliff.
The other male passenger was airlifted to Charleston Area Medical Center in critical condition, and two female passengers were transported to Welch for minor injuries, Aliff said.
The other names have not yet been released.
The investigation is ongoing and no charges have been filed at this time.
