Beckley Police cite driver who ran stop sign in accident
Beckley Police say a Cadillac driver involved in a car and motorcycle collision has been cited for running a stop sign.
Around 2:45 p.m. Monday, a driver in a 2005 Cadillac going south on Westmoreland Street ran a stop sign, Patrolman Jeremy Young said. The driver then reportedly struck a motorcycle driving west on Beaver Avenue.
The motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening, according to Young.
Young said the Cadillac’s driver received a citation.
