Man indicted in bicyclist’s death to go to trial Oct. 22

A trial date was set Monday for the Mount View High School football coach who was indicted by a Raleigh County grand jury last week in connection to the March 13 death of Charles Edward Wil-liamson, 70, who was killed while riding his bicycle on the Coalfields Expressway near Sophia.

Leon Steven Gravely, 42, of Kimball, will go to trial Oct. 22 for charges of negligent homicide, reckless driving, failure to maintain control and speeding.

Raleigh County Circuit Court Judge H.L. Kirkpatrick gave Gravely 48 hours to post $5,000 bond.

A Nov. 5 trial date was set for Michael Curtis Plumley, 32, of Shady Spring.

Plumley is accused of the August 2007 death of Roger Dolan Wilson, 54, of Nimitz, whom he allegedly shot in the head during an argument about prescription medications.
