A Harper man has pleaded guilty to malicious assault, according to Raleigh County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Andy Dimlich.
Donald Matthew Bradley, 40, was initially charged with attempted murder after Mark Anthony Milam was stabbed in the abdomen after a verbal confrontation April 15, 2012.
Bradley then fled in a vehicle, but witnesses at the scene identified him and police later took him into custody without incident in the Lower Sandlick and Glen Daniel area.
He was released after posting $100,000 bond set by Raleigh County Magistrate Richard D. Jones; Bradley then pleaded guilty in Raleigh County Circuit Court April 26 to malicious assault.
Bradley faces two to 10 years in prison and he will be sentenced July 9 at 9 a.m. before Judge John A. Hutchison.
