Police arrest suspect in attempted robbery

A 51-year-old Shady Spring man was arrested Sunday for attempt to commit a felony (robbery), according to Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call about a male hiding in the weeds with a shotgun beside the Mignon II, located on Ritter Drive in Daniels.

Deputies saw Carlos McMillion Jr. crouched in the weeds beside the building, wearing dark clothing with a black hood over his face and armed with a brush ax.

McMillion was arrested without incident and transported to Southern Regional Jail.
