Altercation involves gunfire

MULLENS — An altercation in Mullens Tuesday morning resulted in gunfire, according to Police Chief Ray Toler. About 7:30 a.m., two men and a female got into an altercation, Toler said. One of the men reportedly fired a gun to ward off the man who was beating him, according to the chief.

Toler said arrest warrants are pending and the investigation is continuing.
