Bond revoked for 2 suspects in drug case

Summers County Circuit Court Judge Robert A. Irons revoked bond Friday and Monday for two suspects who were arrested on drug charges in a September drug bust in Hinton, Summers County assistant prosecuting attorney Kristen Cook reported.

Irons also sanctioned two additional suspects Friday. Those suspects were also arrested during the multi-agency police sweep of Hinton that had resulted in 54 indictments in the county.

Cheryl Buckland, 40, and Leroy Dick, 46, were each charged with one count of delivery of a controlled substance. Amanda Ward, 24, and Melinda Vandall, 22, were each charged with one count of conspiracy to commit a felony.

All four suspects had been ordered to attend the day-report program, Cook said.

Irons ordered Buckland and Vandall to serve 10 days at Southern Regional Jail for allegedly failing to comply with day-report conditions.

The judge revoked bonds for Dick and Ward for failing to comply with conditions of the bond supervision, which was the placement with the day report program.

All four were at SRJ Monday.
