OAK HILL —
A Fayette County man who possessed more than 34 pounds of marijuana and a shotgun near his Oak Hill residence pleaded guilty to drug possession charges in U.S. District Court Monday.
William Michael Holley, 42, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute marijuana for remuneration.
He possessed approximately 34 pounds of marijuana in an outbuilding near his Oak Hill residence.
Holley also possessed a 12-gauge shotgun in the same outbuilding where the marijuana was located. Both were seized by law enforcement.
Holley faces up to 15 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. He will be sentenced Aug. 2 by U.S. District Judge John T. Copenhaver Jr.
The West Virginia State Police conducted the investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney John File is in charge of the prosecution.
