4 get probation in Raleigh court

BECKLEY — Raleigh County Circuit Court Judge Robert A. Burnside gave four Ra-leigh County offenders probation for their various crimes Thursday.

Keith Lusk, 32, of Fair-dale, was sentenced to serve one to five years for conspiracy charges and one to 10 years for breaking and entering, to be served consecutively. Burnside suspended the sentence and Lusk will serve six months’ home confinement and three years’ probation.

Lusk was ordered to pay $12,500 in restitution to Guitars Plus, along with his co-defendants, as well as $239 to the Raleigh County Board of Education, along with another co-defendant.

Brian Scott Minton, 28, of Beckley was sentenced to serve one to 10 years for breaking and entering into Tudor’s Biscuit World. His sentence was suspended while he serves two years’ probation.

Burnside ordered that Minton pay $237 in restitution to Tudor’s.

Kayla Nicole Mitchem, 24, of Mabscott, was sentenced to one to 10 years for uttering, which is being suspended while she serves three years’ probation with day reports or an approved rehabilitation program through the adult probation department.

Along with her co-defendant, she was ordered to pay $850 in restitution to the victim.

Heather Marie McKinney, 29, of Glen Daniel, was sentenced to one to five years for conspiracy, which is being suspended while she serves two years’ probation.

Raleigh County Chief Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Tom Truman said McKinney’s co-defendants, William Perryman and Kristopher Niday, were sentenced to time in the penitentiary for their part in the Mama Lina’s robbery.

McKinney, Perryman and Niday were ordered to pay restitution to Mama Lina’s.
