Fayette deputies seek suspects in North Page beating, car theft

Fayette County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the Saturday robbery and beating of a North Page man and expect to make arrests by the end of the week, Fayette Sheriff Steve Kessler reported Tuesday in a press release.

The victim, Donald Walker, told police he was at home Saturday evening when a female acquaintance came to his house and asked if she could speak to him privately.

Two men then forced their way into Walker’s home and began beating him with wooden clubs and demanding money.

When they were able to find only a small amount of money, the woman took Walker’s truck keys and fled the area in his Chevrolet Colorado, according to the release.

The two men drove away in a silver Dodge Neon, Kessler reported.

Police discovered Walker’s truck in the Page area the following day, and deputies have identified all three suspects.

Walker was treated for several lacerations to his head at Plateau Medical Center in Oak Hill, then released.

Deputy J.M. Browning is investigating the robbery and asks that any information on the crime be reported via phone to the sheriff’s office at 304-574-4216, Crime Stoppers at 304-255-7867, online at http://fayettesheriffwv.net or on Facebook at “Fayette County Sheriff’s Department.”
