The juvenile wanted in connection to a fatal shooting Saturday night in Sprague has been apprehended, Raleigh County Sheriff Steve Tanner says.
Authorities took the juvenile into custody at a home on Burgess Street in Beckley during the early morning hours Thursday. Tanner said police were able to locate the juvenile because of tips from the community.
The juvenile is facing petitions — described as warrants for those younger than 18 — for first degree murder charges related to the death of Danny Kennedy, Tanner said.
With the arrest of the juvenile, all suspects in Kennedy’s murder have been apprehended. Also allegedly involved are Dominic Paige, 22, of Beckley, who is charged with murder, and Antonio Wade, 28, also of Beckley, who is charged with unlawful possession of a deadly weapon by a convicted felon.
Tanner says authorities are unsure who fired the shot that killed Kennedy.
It’s alleged that Kennedy was shot and killed after a verbal argument between him, the juvenile, Wade and Paige after their vehicle got stuck in Kennedy’s driveway.

Deputy lawsuit settlement reached
A civil rights lawsuit alleging that a former Greenbrier County sheriff’s deputy had sex with a 16-year-old while “on duty” has been settled for $100,000 and dismissed with prejudice by U.S. District Court Judge Irene Berger.
