Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested three Kanawha County residents on drug charges Monday after a traffic stop along U.S. 60 in the Boomer area.
In the 2014 Cadillac Escalade, occupied by Jason D. Payne, 31, of Marmet; Amanda K. Payne, 32, of Marmet; and Brittany L. Ramsey, 25, of Cedar Grove; authorities found illegally possessed roxycodone and a large amount of money, Fayette County Sheriff Steve Kessler said.
Jason Payne has been charged with a felony count of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and a felony count of conspiracy to commit a felony, police said.
Amanda Payne faces charges of felony possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and felony conspiracy to commit a felony, police said.
Ramsey is charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance and one felony count of conspiracy to commit a felony, police said.
All three were taken to the Southern Regional Jail to await arraignment.
Kessler also says investigative information related to the traffic stop and arrests led deputies to a nearby residence, where they found and seized “a substantial sum of cash money” that is allegedly related to drug sales.
Both incidents remain under investigation by Sgt. T.N. Mooney, Cpl. S.R. Morris and Deputy P.J. Pack.
