Wreck sends 1 to hospital

WHIPPLE — Police are investigating a three-vehicle accident that occurred at approximately 10:45 a.m. Friday in the Whipple area.

The Fayette County Emergency Operations Center said the accident happened at the intersection of W.Va. 612 and Scarbro Road.

Dispatchers said one person was transported to Raleigh General Hospital to be treated for injuries.

Fayette County Sheriff’s Department and Oak Hill Fire Department responded to the scene.
