BECKLEY —
A late Friday afternoon wreck caused a Raleigh County road to be blocked for an hour, authorities said.
Officials at the Raleigh County Emergency Operations Center said the accident occurred at 4:29 p.m. on Blue Jay Six Road when a vehicle hit a power pole, causing it to fall into the roadway. The road was cleared about 5 p.m. and no injuries were reported.
The Ghent Volunteer Fire Department responded and the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office investigated.
