James Travis Green, who is currently serving at least 17 years in prison for murder and child abuse resulting in serious bodily injury, pleaded guilty Thursday to a previous incident of night-time burglary.
Raleigh County Circuit Court Judge Robert A. Burnside sentenced Green to serve one to 15 years for burglary, but ordered that the new sentence run concurrently, or at the same time, with his murder sentence.
Green, 24, previously of Fairdale, was sentenced in January for the murder of Graydon Morgan, his 2-year-old stepson, and the brutal beating of Graydon’s twin brother, Zeke.
Burnside also ordered Green to pay $1,191 restitution to the burglary victim.
