Three charged with attempted murder

Wyoming County

Three Wyoming County men have been arrested and charged with attempted murder in connection with a Mullens home invasion, according to police Chief Ray Toler.

The three men allegedly entered the residence of Robert Noon and attacked him, Toler said.

Noon was transported to Raleigh General Hospital, then on to Charleston Area Medical Center, according to the chief. Noon was being treated in the intensive care unit, Toler said.

In addition to the attempted murder charge, all three men have been charged with malicious wounding, burglary and conspiracy to commit a felony, Toler said. They were in Southern Regional Jail in lieu of bond, the chief said.

Devin N. Fuller, 22, of Pineville, and Cyphelas R. Fuller, 47, of Glen Rogers, were arrested Tuesday.

Travis Lafferty, 29, of Glen Rogers, was arrested Wednesday at the residence of his girlfriend in Oceana, according to Toler.

The Mullens Police Department has been assisted by the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office and Oceana Police Department.

The investigation is continuing.
